The district received, by Public Notice, from the community of Gitlax'taamiks that there will be a water shutoff commencing at 7am. As per the the notice it  lists NESS as one of the entities that will be affected. Given the estimated duration of the water being shut off for 4-7 hours; the district has preemtively decided to close the school for both elementary and secondary students. Consequently there will be no bus runs either.
